Introduction

Personal Page is a free service that enables you to memorize and monitor online, your favourite Stocks. You can create multiple "Personal Pages", under a single username, all located in the same binder and then simply jump between the pages, using the drop-down menu. The number of Stocks per page is limited to 100 in Premium mode and 20 in Public mode, with the number of pages per user being up to 30 or 10 respectively. That means up to 3000 Stocks can be registered under one, sole username!

Personal Page is a multi-market service. You can record Stocks listed on the Swiss (SIX Swiss Exchange), American (AMEX, NYSE), European (virt-x) and French Markets (Euronext), as well as the worlds largest Stocks from anywhere, such as Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, London, Milan, etc...

It's very easy to use the analysis tools from any Stock registered on your Personal Page, to establish your forecasts and speculations. It's just a matter of choosing the columns you want to display and selecting them with the "Setup" button, see chapter 8.

Last but not least you can also change your profile, receive e-mails, SMS.

You now have everything you need to be on top of all the changes on the World's Stock Markets, in a Flash!

For security reasons you will be logged-out automatically, after four hours of inactivity.

1. Registration
In order to use this service, you must first of all register. Click on the button "New user" on the welcome page and carefully complete the form. If you already use our old single page setup, you can simply transfer your data onto the new system. Just enter your old details (userid/password) and follow the instructions online.

All the fields indicated by an asterisk must be filled. None of this information will be transmitted to a third without your prior agreement.

Each Swissquote service operates independently. It is therefore not possible for you to use the same password from your private account, the Forum or your Portfolio Manager for Personal Pages. Please note that in Swissquote Premium, you can access your personal tools without having to re-identify yourself.

Carefully fill the fields "Date of birth", "Question" and "Answer". This information will enable you to automatically find either your password, or your username, if you ever forget one or the other. If you forget both at the same time, we are able to conduct a search to identify the username that corresponds with your address e-mail. As a last resort, we have a specially designed form, which you can send and following verification, will allow us to communicate your username and password back to you.

2. Security
Security is an important aspect of Personal Page, and ensures that your data remains confidential. There are a large number of built-in security safeguards, like reinforced identity checks or automatic logging-out after 4 hours of inactivity.

You decide whether to remain anonymous or, to provide us with your personal profile (largely for statistical purposes). In any case, this information will not be revealed to a third party under any circumstances whatsoever. Transactions are recorded onto a high security server, accessible only to highly qualified employees of Swissquote Financial Services.

If you lose your password, your username or even both elements, use the function "Login Problems". If you still cannot recover your password, you can fill out the specifically designed form and forward it to us.

3. My Profile
You can view and/or modify your user profile, change your password, your e-mail, your address, language choice, etc. All you need to do is click on "My Profile" at the top right-hand corner of your Page.

This page gives you the opportunity to receive information from your Personal Pages by e-mail, each hour, each day, each week or each month. If your e-mail programme cannot read "HTML" format messages, choose the basic "Text" format option.

Premium users can also receive information regarding their stocks sent via SMS to their mobile phones.

4. Personal Page
To use Personal Page, you need to create at least one Personal Page. Enter the name of your first Page, click on the button "Create". The "Modify" page will be displayed automatically, so that you can enter your data!

Each time you start a new session, you will automatically enter your default Personal Page, i.e. the first Page that you registered. If you have several Pages, you can of course modify your default page settings by using the "Pages Management" tool, located at the bottom of the drop-down menu.

Once you have recorded your values, you can choose the options for displaying the columns. For more details, see chapter 8.

You can use the drop-down menu (at the top left-hand corner) to jump from one page to another. You can also have an overall picture of all your Personal Pages or create a new Personal Page by selecting "Pages Management" located at the bottom of the same menu. For more details, please refer to chapter 7.

5. Download
You can download your data in .csv format (separated by semicolons), to enable you to open your Personal Page in Excel.

The first line indicates the account name, date and time, the second line, the heading column. To use this option, please activate your Cookies.

Make sure that the parameters of your Excel program allow you to correctly open and read the generated file. For example, if you use a PC, go to "Start Start/Settings/Control Panel/ Regional Options/Numbers" and choose ";" as list separator.

Please note that the number of possible downloads per page, per day is restricted in order to reduce the likelihood of data hacking.

6. Modify
To register, erase or modify your data, click on "Modify", enter your Stock details (by the Symbol, security number, ISIN code or the name), choose your Market (SIX Swiss Exchange, virt-x, Euronext, US, or other), and click on the button "Modify" at the bottom of the page.

It is possible to insert more than one title to each textbox (max. 300 characters/box), like the old system of Personal Page. You can easily paste a text you copied from a text file. You just need to separate the titles with a blank space. The default market is the one selected in the pulldown menu in the line, but it can also be defined with the following suffixes: ",v" for Virt-X; ",u" for US Market; ",e" for Euronext; and ",g" for foreign Exchange. In this case, the suffixes will be prioritary on the selected Stock Exchange.

By clicking on the botton " + " you can insert a line in the list of titels.

By clicking on the botton " - " you will cancel the line.

Important: Please note that the bottons " + " and " - " don't automatically save the modifications in the data base. So it is necessary to click on "Save" to update your data. If you made a manipulation error, it is also possible to turn back by reloading the page or by turning back to your Personal Page without clicking on the botton "Save".

7. Setup
Manage your Pages with the help of the drop-down menu, which is located at the top left-hand corner of your "Personal Page". This menu contains the list of all your accounts as well as the "Page Management" functions. If you want to create a new page, change your default page, or remove a page, simply go to "Page Management".

"M"
Direct link to the page "Modify", see chapter 6.

"D"
To change the default page, click on the letter " D " (for "Default"). The default account line will be displayed in dark orange. This new setting will remain in force for all future sessions.

"L"
To erase a page, click on the letter "E". The selected page will be transfered to the "Waste-Basket" and can therefore be recovered if necessary. If you wish to completely erase a page from your folder, enter the Basket and click on the letter "E". This will remove all trace of the page. It is impossible to retrieve a page that has been erased in this manner, even by one of our technicians. As a safeguard, a warning box will appear and ask you to confirm this course of action.

"R"
Likewise you can also enter the "Waste-Basket" to retrieve a page by entering and clicking on the letter "R" (for "restore").

8. Setup
Clicking on the "Setup" button lets you select your columns. There is a default layout of suggested columns that can be modified at any time. Your new settings are then memorized and updated on every Personal Page in your folder. If you have any ideas for additional columns, you can send them to us by clicking the "Other Suggestions" button. The layout chosen will also be used for your e-mails.

Within the available options you have notably the possibility to display small pictograms in form of a letter (N, I, H, A), in order to allow direct links towards other tools, such as the News, Intraday, Historical, Analysis Tools and others. It is also possible to display columns with informations such as closing price, Bid- and Ask size, the highest or lowest payed price of the year, currency, Stock Exchange, etc.

You can also choose to sort your columns in ascending or descending order. Simply click the title of the column. Every click on the same column inverts the sorting. An arrow will indicate the selected column and the sense. The selected sorting will be saved. To return to the initial sorting, click the corresponding button next to the "Setup" button.

A key to the selected options will be listed under the relevant table. We have also added a specific "stop trading" feature, where any security currently subject to a stop trading will be highlighted in red, with the key modified accordingly.

9. WAP

11. FAQ
Q: I accidentally erased my Personal Page. How can I recover my data?
A: An erased Page is placed in the "Waste-Basket" and is therefore easily recoverable. To do so, just enter the basket and click on the letter "R" for "Restore". If however, you erase a Personal Page from the "Waste-Basket", it is gone for good! Be careful to read the warning messages before carrying out this action!

Q: Is it possible to copy a few titels of a text databank and to insert them afterwords to the Personal Page?
A: Yes, you click on "Modify" and copy the information in one of the empty fields. The titels must be inserted with a blank space. At the end, click on the botton "save" to store the data.

Q: Is it possible to insert a title in the middle of the list without cancelling all?
A: Yes, chose the line, where you wish to insert a new title and click on the botton "+".The titels will automatically shift.

Q: I cannot open the file type .csv in Excel, why?
A: The file .csv contains your Personal Page data. Semi-colons separate the information. You should configure your Excel program settings in order to read your file correctly. If you are using a PC, please go in "Start/Settings/Control Panel/Regional/Options/Numbers" and choose ";" as list separator.

Q: I cannot read my e-mails; I receive strange, illegible characters, is this normal? What should I do?
A: E-mails sent in "HTML" format have to be encoded in MIME format (Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions). Your email programme may not be able to read the latter format. There are two solutions: either change your e-mail software (use Outlook, Netscape, Eudora), or modify your settings by selecting "TEXT" format e-mails.
