New

Ranking enables you to identify a list of securities corresponding to a chosen search criteria. Search for securities on a timescale ranging from the day before to the week before that match parameters such as: turnover of more than a million, decreasing volatility, a closing price located in the top Bollinger band etc.

Ranking

Ranking identifies the optimum time to buy or sell a security based on purely mathematical models.

Ranking highlights the fluctuating characteristics of a security. In principle, this analysis takes no account of the actual company involve. It is therefore vital to obtain an exhaustive study of all securities so that you can easily identify those which appear to have the most potential.

"Analysis Tools" presents the technical indicators in a readable format so that you can easily extract the information you require (tendency, evolution in mid-term and long-term, support and resistance, etc.).

Swissquote has now set up filters, based upon classic Swissquote Ranking theory, that enable you to identify tell-tale indicators. These and their indications are described within the various "Analysis tools" help sections. They are also summarized at the bottom of this page.

Every day, only the convergences or the limits reached at the close of the previous day are taken into account. This means that it is therefore necessary to monitor the situation on a daily basis (in "Daily" mode) so that you do not miss any potential opportunities.
Filters are also applied to suppress securities with low liquidity.

These analyses are carried out every day based upon the data collected by Swissquote. The analysis is also available in weekly mode for medium-term investors by clicking the "Weekly" button (calculations are made every Friday evening).
